Transitioning to Postdoc Positions in Germany

Abstract

From my experience of moving to Germany midway through my PhD, I offer insight into conducting science in a new country and the practicalities of finding academic positions abroad. We will discuss everything from the job search to arranging international interviews, from managing international moving logistics to acquiring funding, and from registering at the foreign office to writing animal protocols in another language.
